Will Travel Again! train case make over using maps

I love to find these little train cases.  The older the better!
These two were wonderful on the outside.  A warm faux leather in a wonderful worn brown (with the key!) and a mod blue with enough wear to give it that vintage feel that we love.

The insides are normally in pretty rough shape.  Both of these cases were  torn and dirty inside.

I decided the best way to tackle these were to remove all the inner linings and get all the dust and loose debris out.
I broke out the modge podge and the Old print of the Great World Atlas.  The book has some issues so it is getting up cycled .

These cases are now ready to travel again or make great storage alternatives.

So glad that you stopped by!
Have a great day!
Sheryl

  1. I saw this on Anything Blue Friday- what a great idea. You've given them a 2nd life and they look a freshened up and ready to go! I think the use of the almanac maps was a terrific idea. Mod podge is the best isn't it!
